I don’t look like a model – is a boudoir shoot still a good idea for me?
Absolutely! All of the photos you see throughout our website are of beautiful everyday women – not models who know what they’re doing! We’ll help you accentuate your natural beauty and feel confident, no matter who you are or what you do.
What if I’m not comfortable in front of the camera?
We’ll help with that! It’s normal to feel nervous – being in front of the camera can feel a little uncomfortable sometimes, especially when you’re in your underwear. But I have years of experience helping people like you feel at ease in front of the camera. I’ll help those nerves melt away during your photoshoot – and by the time you get your gorgeous photos back, you’ll wonder why you ever felt nervous in the first place!
How am I supposed to pose?
Don’t worry! Making you look gorgeous in front of the camera is MY job, not yours 🙂 we’ll tell you how to pose, where to look, and even when to tuck a stray hair behind your ear.
Do I need to lose weight before my shoot?
No way! You are beautiful as you are right now. We have a lot of experience working with curvy and plus-size women, and we know how to photograph & pose you in the most flattering way possible. We’ll accentuate your curves, show off your best features, and make sure any features you might not love don’t take center stage in your photos. Boudoir photography is for every woman – celebrate the stage you’re at right now.
Why do you take photos of women in their underwear?
I’m glad you asked! 🙂 I’m passionate about helping real women feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. We’re constantly bombarded with false, damaging messages about body image and unrealistic beauty standards – to me, boudoir photography helps us reclaim control over that narrative and step into our own feminine power. I love helping women be able to do that!
Photoshoot Prep
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel sexy, comfortable, and empowered. This could be a bra and panties, a lacy teddy, a luxurious robe, a sweater with a plunging neckline, etc. Typically, I ask my clients to bring 6-8 outfits to give us plenty of options.
If you’re at a loss for where to find a sexy outfit that’s best for your body type & personal style, don’t worry – I’ll send you a few local Las Vegas places to look!
Where will my boudoir session take place?
No need to book a hotel room or take photos at someone’s home – all of our boudoir shoots take place in our photography studio, with luxurious set-pieces curated especially for boudoir photography.
That being said, if you’d prefer to take your photos in a hotel or a different location, let us know – we’d be happy to travel to you!
Do I have to do my own hair and makeup?
Nope! Our expert hair and makeup artist will help you get dolled up on-site right before your photoshoot, so you don’t need to go to multiple locations or worry about touch-ups.
Who will be present during my shoot? Can I bring my friends or my significant other to the shoot?
It’ll just be you, me, and our in-house hair and makeup artist. We’ve found that having friends or significant others present during your shoot makes it more difficult to truly relax and be in the moment – that’s why our boudoir sessions are always one-on-one.
Payment Details
What’s included in a boudoir photoshoot package?
Your booking includes a pre-session photoshoot consultation, a wardrobe and styling consultation, professional hair & makeup with lashes the day of your photoshoot, and 2 hours of shooting, and all post-production. You will then have the option of products to purchase – whether as framed portraits, a photo album, wall art, digital files, etc.
Do you take credit cards and/or do you offer payment plans?
Yes, I do accept credit cards. I also offer payment plans of up to 6 months for photo products, though final products are not delivered until the final payment has been made.
Do I need a deposit to reserve a date for my photo shoot?
Yes. Your date will not be guaranteed until the retainer fee is paid in full.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates are always available and can be purchased at any time.
Products
How far in advance should I plan the shoot if I want to give a gift?
Try to schedule your shoot at least 6-8 weeks before you’d like to present your gift. However, if your deadline’s tighter than that, please let me know of any time constraints and I’ll do my best to turn your products around even faster.
Will my photos end up on your website? Can they be private?
Your privacy is extremely important to us. While we’d love to use images from our session together to show other real women your amazing photos, we’d never share your photos without your express permission. Whether you’re fine with your images being used on our website, you’d prefer that only faceless pictures go in our portfolio, or you’d rather your photos remain for your eyes only, that’s perfectly okay.
